Are there any tools that help monitor brand mentions across AI platforms?

Yes, many tools monitor brand mentions across AI platforms. We compare the main options on engine coverage, pricing and what they add beyond a mention count.

Yes, and there are now dozens of them. Brand mention monitoring across AI platforms has become a product category, with tools that range from low-priced starter plans to enterprise contracts. The useful question is no longer whether a tool exists. It is which kind you need, because they differ more than their feature lists suggest.

Three kinds of tool

Dedicated AI visibility platforms run a set of prompts across engines on a schedule and report mentions, position, sentiment and sources. This is the core category.

Suite add-ons bolt AI tracking onto an existing SEO or marketing product. HubSpot AEO is an example.

Agentic and content tools focus on shipping fixes or articles, and track AI visibility lightly or not at all.

What to compare

Engine coverage and how the engines are measured, the number of prompts you can run, how often they refresh, whether you can see the sources behind a mention, and what the tool does when you are not named. Pricing models vary: flat tiers, credits per AI response, or sales-quoted.

The shortlist

1. Promptwatch

Promptwatch monitors ChatGPT (Search), Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI through the real interfaces, with Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok through APIs. Prompt panels run daily per model, country and language. It reports Visibility Score, Share of Voice, Sentiment and Position in Answer, with brand aliases and a Brand Book for what counts as a mention.

Beyond mentions, it adds citation analytics down to page, Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn level, IP-verified AI crawler logs through Agent Analytics, visitor analytics with conversions, and a Content Agent on Business and Enterprise. Free Explore covers 10 prompts on ChatGPT only. Paid plans are Essential $95 a month, Professional $245 and Business $579, with crawler logs from Professional.

2. AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ tracks across 11 models and reports a GEO score, with an Action Center and content optimization agent. A free Essential plan has 300 credits, and Starter is $295 a month with 3,600 credits where one credit is one AI response. The listing notes no crawler analytics.

3. Scrunch AI

Scrunch AI Core is $250 a month for 125 prompts and 5,000 responses across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. It adds site audits, sentiment, bot traffic reporting and an Agent Experience Platform. Reviewers flag weekly data refresh and reporting depth.

4. Profound

Profound is an enterprise platform now sold as an AI marketer. A seven-day trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and Enterprise tracks up to nine engines at custom pricing.

5. Others worth a look

Am I Cited covers eight engines from about 50 euros a month on credits. Cognizo starts at $499 a month and includes lead attribution. GetIntel has a low entry price and hands fixes to a coding agent, with Claude only on the $99 tier. Mentionable is 79 euros a month for seven engines. Ceyo captures eight engines from real interfaces, from $39 a month billed yearly. HubSpot AEO is $50 a month and tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

Lower-cost trackers such as Otterly.AI and Peec AI also exist. They sit at the bottom of our rankings, and Peec AI's pricing was not fully verifiable on its page when we last read it, so check the live plans before buying either.

Who should pick which

If you need to know why you are or are not named, and whether it brings visits, Promptwatch. If you want a credit-based action queue, AthenaHQ. If crawler-side delivery appeals and four engines is enough, Scrunch AI. If you are buying at enterprise scale, Profound. If you only want a cheap pulse check, one of the lower-cost trackers is fine, as long as you know it is a pulse check.

A word on cost models

Prices in this category are not comparable at face value. AthenaHQ meters in credits, with one credit per AI response. Scrunch AI consumes prompt credits per engine. Others sell flat tiers or quote after a call. Before you compare headline prices, work out how many prompts you need, across how many engines, refreshed how often, and price that exact load in each tool.

Limits

No tool shows every conversation. Monitoring is sampled from a defined prompt set, and answers vary between runs. Treat the results as a trend, not a census.
