Best GEO tools for Southeast Asia (2026)

Seven GEO tools compared for Southeast Asia: one monitor per country and language, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malay prompts, Lazada's shopping agent, and APAC data handling.

Southeast Asia is not one market, and AI search makes that obvious fast. A regional brand selling in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines is dealing with at least six countries and, depending on how you count, eight or more languages. A Malaysian buyer might ask in Malay, English or Chinese. In Singapore, English prompts are a sensible place to start. A Thai buyer asks in Thai, about Thai prices, and expects Thai sources. Each of those is a different answer from the same engine.

The practical problem is scale. Every market-language pair is its own prompt set, and the prompt count multiplies before you have tracked a single competitor. Picking a tool for the region is mostly about whether it handles that multiplication without the bill exploding, and whether it can show you which local sources each market's answers rely on.

Quick verdict

Promptwatch is the strongest platform for a regional program. Thai and Vietnamese are among its named localization examples, Indonesian and Malay fall under its "any language from any country" coverage, and its agency plans include unlimited projects and prompts, which suits a Singapore agency running six markets. Ceyo is worth a look for its APAC data region on Pro+ and Enterprise. Ecommerce brands selling through Lazada can add Azoma, which lists Lazada's LazzieChat among the retailer agents it tracks.

Prompts worth tracking

Write prompts natively for each market. English glosses are in brackets.

  • Thai: "แนะนำ[หมวดหมู่]ที่คุ้มค่าที่สุดในกรุงเทพฯ" (Recommend the best-value [category] in Bangkok)
  • Vietnamese: "Phần mềm kế toán nào tốt nhất cho doanh nghiệp nhỏ ở Việt Nam?" (Which accounting software is best for small businesses in Vietnam?)
  • Indonesian: "Aplikasi [kategori] terbaik di Indonesia tahun 2026" (Best [category] app in Indonesia in 2026)
  • Malay: "Insurans kereta mana yang terbaik di Malaysia?" (Which car insurance is best in Malaysia?)
  • English, Singapore: "Best [category] software for SMEs in Singapore"
  • Filipino: "Ano ang pinakamagandang [produkto] para sa estudyante?" (What is the best [product] for students?)
  • Any market: "[Your brand] vs [regional rival]: which is cheaper in [country]?"

What a tool needs for Southeast Asia

One monitor per country and language. A Promptwatch monitor's language and location are fixed once created, so a Malaysia program with Malay and English prompts is two monitors. Copy Prompts can copy a prompt set to a monitor in another country if the language matches, so your English Singapore set can seed an English Malaysia monitor and an English Philippines monitor without retyping.

A pricing model that survives the multiplication. Promptwatch's brand plans cap prompts (50, 150 and 350 on Essential, Professional and Business). Its agency plans (Kick-off $199, Growth $399, Scale $799) include unlimited projects, prompts and seats and are limited by responses instead: 10,000, 25,000 and 65,000 a month. For a regional agency, responses are the number to plan around. Note that agency plans don't include the Content Agent, AEO articles or ChatGPT Shopping.

Local citations. Promptwatch's citation reports show which domains each monitor's answers cite, so you can see whether Thai answers rely on Thai media and Vietnamese answers on Vietnamese forums, or whether both fall back to English sources.

Data handling. Promptwatch is an EU-based company, ISO/IEC 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. Ceyo defaults to EU data residency (Ireland) and offers US and APAC regions on Pro+ and Enterprise.

The ranking

1. Promptwatch

Promptwatch handles the region best because it treats language and location as building blocks. Every paid plan can track any of the supported engines, including Google AI Overviews and AI Mode through their real interfaces. Country-level tracking is on every plan, and state and city are on Business and every agency plan, so Jakarta and Surabaya, or Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, can be separate monitors if the cities you need are listed. Visitor Analytics shows AI-referred visits and conversions per market. Brands that want content drafted in Thai or Vietnamese need Professional or above, where Content Creation writes in the prompt's language.

2. AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ Starter ($295) is single-country per our catalog, with multi-region and multi-language support on Enterprise. For a six-market program, expect an Enterprise quote.

3. Scrunch AI

Scrunch AI Core ($250) gives one brand workspace with 125 prompts. Its entry doesn't document languages or countries, so ask how a regional setup is priced.

4. Profound

Profound is a custom Enterprise platform. A multinational with a regional marketing hub in Singapore may already have it; regional coverage isn't described in our entry.

5. Ceyo

Ceyo is agency-first. It captures answers from the real interfaces of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, AI Mode, Grok and Copilot. Core ($39 a month billed yearly) covers one country and two models; Grow ($119) adds unlimited countries, API and white-label exports; Pro+ ($399) adds the APAC data region option. Its Technical Agent can apply schema and crawlability fixes you authorize.

6. Addlly AI

Addlly AI is part software, part service, aimed at enterprise and ecommerce brands, especially in Southeast Asia. It starts with a managed audit and delivers 10 or 25 optimized content pieces a month, generated in several languages. Prices are scoped after a call; the only figure published is a Singapore PSG-supported program from SGD 292 a month.

7. Azoma

Azoma tracks SKU-level visibility across LLMs and retailer shopping agents, and its catalog entry lists Lazada LazzieChat alongside Amazon and Walmart agents. Pricing is custom. Only relevant for consumer brands with real marketplace volume.

Who should pick which

A regional agency running several Southeast Asian markets for clients should look hard at Promptwatch's agency plans, because unlimited prompts remove the main constraint. A brand running its own program in three or more markets is better on Promptwatch Business, which adds the Content Agent and Shopping. Agencies that need APAC data hosting should check Ceyo Pro+. A Singapore SME that qualifies for PSG support and wants a service more than a tool can talk to Addlly. Lazada sellers with SKU-level questions belong with Azoma.

Honest limits

We couldn't source usage figures for AI engines in each Southeast Asian country, so this guide states none. Engine features may not be identical in every country, so check what your prompts return in each market rather than assuming they match. Answers vary by language, country and day, and no tool can promise a mention.

Can I keep data in an APAC region?

Ceyo offers an APAC region on Pro+ and Enterprise. Promptwatch is EU-based.

Book a Promptwatch demo and ask to see one prompt set copied across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, so you can compare the cited sources market by market.
