Which software tracks local AI search results for multi-location brands?
Which software tracks local AI search results for multi-location brands? We rank eight options on location depth, engines covered, pricing and what they help you fix.
For a multi-location brand, "are we visible in AI search?" is the wrong question. The right one is "in which cities, and for which stores?" A chain can be the default recommendation in one town and absent two hours away. Brand-level scores hide that, and local managers know it.
Two families of software answer the question. Local marketing suites (listings, reviews, rank grids) have added AI modules that work per location. AI visibility platforms have added location targeting. They overlap, and the right one depends on whether your first problem is listing hygiene or AI visibility itself.
What to check
- Location depth: country, state, city, per-location, or exact coordinates?
- Engines: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI surfaces matter most for local intent.
- Prompt design: do prompts name the business, or mimic what locals ask?
- Competitor view per location.
- What happens after the report: listings fixes, content, or neither.
- Pricing per location versus per account.
The ranking
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch is a brand-wide AI visibility platform with real location controls. Country-level tracking is on every paid plan. State and city tracking starts on Business ($579/mo) and is included on every agency plan. Local GEO/SEO targeting, new in October 2026, pins a monitor to exact coordinates with a radius from 20 m to 5 km, so ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode answer as if asked from that spot. It is on Business, Agency Scale and Enterprise. Other models fall back to country, state or city.
What makes it useful for a multi-location brand is everything around the location data: citation analytics show which directories and local publications AI cites, crawler logs show whether bots reach your location pages, visitor analytics trace AI-referred visits, and the Content Agent (Business and up) can publish against gaps with a review inbox. The agency plans ($199, $399 and $799 a month) give unlimited projects and prompts, which suits an agency running many brands. It does not manage listings or reviews, so pair it with a listings tool if that is your gap.
2. Uberall GEO Studio
Uberall GEO Studio comes from the listings platform and is built for per-store tracking. GEO Starter is $109 a month (50 prompts, three engines of your choice), and GEO Scale at $449 a month adds location-level tracking with 150 prompts and five engines. It breaks results down by persona, location and competitor, shows sources by domain and page, detects hallucinations, and publishes approved content to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and Framer.
3. Yext Scout
Yext Scout measures location-level visibility against up to 20 local competitors across Google Search, Maps, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, and routes fixes through Yext Listings, Reviews, Pages and Social. Pricing is not published. It makes the most sense if you are already on Yext.
4. Local Falcon
Local Falcon sends the same prompt from every point on a geo-grid, from 9 to 441 points, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Grok. It reports Share of AI Voice and the sources and competitors AI names. Starter is $24.99 a month on a credit system. Excellent for neighbourhood-level maps, less so as a brand-wide program.
5. BrightLocal Local AI Visibility
BrightLocal tracks up to 20 prompts per location on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, with a 0 to 100 visibility score and an AI sources leaderboard. Plans start at $41 a month for one location ($31 billed annually). Citation gaps feed its Citation Builder.
6. Birdeye Search AI
Birdeye Search AI sits inside Birdeye's reviews and listings platform and reports visibility by brand and location across seven selectable engines. An accuracy report traces wrong hours or addresses to the source. Pricing is not published.
7. Reputation AI Location Presence
Reputation shows per-location listing accuracy, mentions and sentiment for ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, refreshed monthly by default. It is bundled with Reputation plans (Rep Core from $80 per location a month).
8. Synup AEO
Synup AEO runs 16 local discovery prompts per location on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and gives a 0 to 100 AI Visibility score, monthly. It starts at $49 a month for one location and is labelled beta.
Comparison table

| Uberall GEO Studio | Per location on Scale | Up to 11 | $109/mo |
| Yext Scout | Per location | About 4 AI engines plus Google surfaces | Not published |
| Local Falcon | Geo-grid, 9 to 441 points | 5 | $24.99/mo |

| Synup AEO | Per location, monthly | 3 | $49/mo |
Who should pick which
Pick Promptwatch if you want AI visibility at brand scale with state, city or coordinate targeting, and the evidence (citations, crawler logs, traffic) to act. Pick Uberall, Yext, Birdeye or Reputation if the platform you already use for listings and reviews can add AI tracking and you want fixes to flow through it. Pick Local Falcon for neighbourhood-level geography. Pick BrightLocal or Synup for a simple per-location score at small scale.
An honest caveat
No software guarantees that a store will be recommended. Local AI answers shift with phrasing, location and run, so judge trends. Listing accuracy often explains more than people expect, so a listings tool and an AI visibility tool are frequently complements rather than substitutes.
To see how your brand looks in a few priority cities, start with a trial of Promptwatch. City tracking needs Business, which has no trial, so begin with country-level and scale up.
