GeoSonar review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #258Rome-based GEO platform with a 0 to 100 GEO Score, citation network and prioritised task list across five AI engines; Free, Pro €49/mo, Agency from €199/mo.
Our verdict
GeoSonar suits an Italian-speaking team that wants a free starting point, a readable score and a task list instead of a raw tracker. The unknowns are the prompt and refresh limits on Pro, and there is no AI-referred traffic measurement in what we read. Promptwatch answers the full measurement question: prompt tracking and citation analytics plus Agent Analytics crawler logs and visitor analytics that show which AI-referred visits convert, with a free Explore tier to test it first.
Best for: Italian-speaking brands and small agencies that want a transparent scoring model and a prioritised task list across five AI engines, starting from a free plan.
GeoSonar (geosonar.ai) is an Italian GEO platform with its address in Rome. Its site is in Italian. It scans a project (a domain plus the product or service you want AI to name) and produces a GEO Score from 0 to 100, built as 0.30 times an infrastructure pillar plus 0.35 times a narrative pillar plus 0.35 times an authority pillar, with 16 measurable metrics. The visibility part tests ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot (20 points each), maps cited sources, domains and competitors in a Citation Network, runs a technical GEO audit that includes crawlability for 80+ AI bots, and turns findings into an Action Center task list ordered by priority and impact. The vendor describes the algorithm as deterministic, and it cites the Princeton GEO study (Aggarwal et al., KDD 2024) as the basis for its optimization techniques.
Pricing read on geosonar.ai/pricing on 24 October 2026: Free at €0 for one active project, ChatGPT only, a basic report download and automatic refresh every 7 days; Pro at €49 a month for one brand across five engines with GEO Audit, Citation Network, Action Center and the full report; Agency from €199 a month with 5 projects, branded reports, API access and a dedicated account manager. A one-off Full Intelligence Report (GEO Score, citations, competitors, technical issues, priority actions for a single project) is sold without a subscription, and its price was not shown in the text we could read. Prompt limits per plan are not published on the pricing page.
GeoSonar covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.
Scoring model and what a scan produces
geosonar.ai and geosonar.ai/pricing (read 24 October 2026). The GEO Score is a weighted sum of three pillars: Infrastructure (30%: structured data, AI crawlability across 80+ bots, site architecture), Narrative (35%: content completeness, narrative coherence, semantic alignment, factual density, a GEO method score) and Authority (35%: external mentions, reviews, competitive visibility, backlink quality, industry authority, discovery citation rate). Visibility is five engines times 20 points. Bands run from Critical (0 to 39) to Excellent (90 to 100).
Each scan returns the GEO Score, citation tests, a Citation Network, detected competitors, technical issues, narrative insights and prioritised tasks. Because infrastructure and narrative carry 65% of the weight, a site can score well without being named often, so read the visibility result next to the score instead of relying on the headline number.
Plans and the research claims
Free, Pro and Agency differ in projects, engines and report depth: Free is one project on ChatGPT with a 7-day auto refresh; Pro covers one brand on five engines; Agency covers five projects with branded reports, API access and a dedicated account manager. The company shows a Rome address and VAT number in the footer.
The homepage cites percentages from the Princeton GEO paper (for example, adding sources +132.4% and keyword stuffing -8.3%) as the basis for its techniques. Those figures come from an academic study of generative engines and should not be read as the uplift GeoSonar customers will see. There are no named customer results on the pages we read.

What you still need after this product
On this listing, GeoSonar is a AI visibility tracker for Italian-speaking brands and small agencies that want a transparent scoring model and a prioritised task list across five AI engines, starting from a free plan. If you buy GeoSonar for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
GeoSonar's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Does GeoSonar include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?
