SEOAgent alternatives

Our verdict

SEOAgent suits teams who live in Cursor or Claude Code: the free Skill is genuinely free, and Autopilot adds the Search Console numbers and research for $79 a site. It is a workflow tool, not a visibility monitor. If you also need to know whether those changes earn AI citations, Promptwatch measures it: prompt tracking with fan-outs, citation analytics by page and domain, Agent Analytics crawler logs, visitor analytics, and an MCP server and REST API that sit comfortably next to a coding agent.

Best for: Developer-led teams that already work in a coding agent and want SEO changes delivered as reviewable diffs.

SEOAgent (seoagent.com) has two doors. The free Skill runs inside your own coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and your own keys, auditing a repo and writing fixes, articles and internal links as diffs you approve. Autopilot is the paid cloud tier: Search Console measurement, keyword and competitor research, briefs, drafted articles and queued fixes that your agent, a ChatGPT or Claude connector, or a hosted runner applies. You approve every change before it lands.

Pricing was read on seoagent.com/pricing on 24 October 2026: Free $0, Autopilot $79 per site per month with a 14-day no-card trial, Fleet at $79 per site, and an Agency Beta at $199/mo for up to 10 sites. The page says the hosted runner for plain websites is coming soon, and no AI answer tracking is described.

SEOAgent covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.

Plans and limits

seoagent.com/pricing (read 24 October 2026). Free is $0: the Skill runs in your agent on your keys. Autopilot is $79 per site per month after a 14-day trial that starts when you first bind a repo, with no card. Fleet is $79 per site on one subscription with a dashboard per site. The Agency Beta is $199 a month for up to 10 sites, limited to five customers and booked on a call.

Seats, tracked keywords and crawl volume are not metered, according to the page.

Where changes land

seoagent.com/pricing (read 24 October 2026) says changes land as diffs in your repo through a coding agent, or are applied through a ChatGPT or Claude connector to your site's own connector, and that nothing is published without approval.

What you still need after this product

On this listing, SEOAgent is a Agentic SEO automation for Developer-led teams that already work in a coding agent and want SEO changes delivered as reviewable diffs. What we sourced here: Free Skill and CLI running in your own coding agent, no account needed; Autopilot: Search Console analysis, keyword and competitor research, briefs and drafted articles; Fixes queued for your coding agent, a Grok Bot, or a ChatGPT or Claude connector; Metadata, schema, internal links, landing pages and articles written as diffs; Drafts written into your own Sanity on Sanity-built sites.

If you buy SEOAgent for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).

What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not

SEOAgent's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).

The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEOAgent cost?

The Skill is free. Autopilot is $79 per site per month after a 14-day trial with no card. The Agency Beta is $199 a month for up to 10 sites.

Do I need a codebase?

No. You can use a ChatGPT or Claude connector, or ask for the hosted runner, which the page marks as coming soon. A coding agent is the fastest route.

Does SEOAgent publish on its own?

No. It proposes with evidence and every change waits for your approval.

Does SEOAgent include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?

This listing documents bot or crawler-log style coverage for SEOAgent. Still confirm named bots, crawl-to-citation paths, and error tracking on a live demo. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits.

Can SEOAgent show AI-referred traffic and conversions?

Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.

Does SEOAgent publish GEO articles to a CMS?

Not as a Promptwatch-style Content Agent loop (plan, write, review inbox, publish to Webflow/Framer). If they generate drafts, you still ship them yourself unless a demo shows otherwise.

Does SEOAgent document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch prompts carry search volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, topics, personas, and country, state, or city targeting.

Does SEOAgent track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.

SEOAgent vs Promptwatch?

Use SEOAgent for the job this review describes. Promptwatch is the end-to-end alternative when you also need crawler logs, citation depth (including Reddit and YouTube), AI-referred conversions, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
