Wellows vs Cognizo (2026): self-serve citation tracking or demo-led AEO suite?
Wellows starts at $29 a month with every feature. Cognizo starts at $499 with articles, traffic analytics and an API. What the gap buys, who each one fits, and what both leave out.
Quick verdict
Wellows wins on price, self-serve access and agency flexibility. Cognizo wins on engine coverage, built-in articles and data access through MCP and an API. They're aimed at different buyers: Wellows at teams that want to find missing citations and work them themselves, Cognizo at teams that want a vendor to supply the content too and will book a demo to get it. For most readers choosing between these two, Wellows is the better first purchase. For anyone weighing Cognizo's $499 entry, though, the stronger comparison is Promptwatch, which publishes crawler logs and conversion tracking at a lower price than Cognizo's Platform plan.
The price gap is the headline
The two pricing pages could hardly be further apart.
| Wellows plan | Price a month | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $29 | 1,800 AI answers (12 prompts daily on all five engines) |
| Standard | $97 | 6,500 answers (43 prompts daily) |
| Growth | $249 | 18,000 answers (120 prompts daily) |
| Scale | $497 | 36,000 answers (240 prompts daily) |
Every Wellows plan includes unlimited prompts, projects and seats, all five engines, every feature, white-label reporting and a 7-day trial. One answer is one prompt asked of one engine on one day.
| Cognizo plan | Price a month | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | From $499 | 150 prompts, 5 platforms, 8 AI articles a month, AI traffic analytics, ChatGPT Ads, MCP and API |
| Done-for-You | From $899 | 180 articles over 6 months, lead tracking, AI crawler access and protection |
| Enterprise | Custom | All platforms, multiple brands and workspaces, SSO, SLA, custom integrations |
Cognizo publishes its numbers, which is more than many demo-led vendors do, but there's no self-serve checkout on the page. You talk to sales first. Wellows' top self-serve plan costs about what Cognizo's entry does.

Where Cognizo is ahead
Coverage first. Cognizo supports Claude, Meta AI and Grok on top of the five engines Wellows tracks, although the Platform plan is capped at five platforms and "all platforms" is listed on Enterprise. Wellows says outright that it doesn't track Claude or Microsoft Copilot.
Then output. Platform includes eight AI articles a month and Done-for-You is built around a publishing schedule, so a team without writers gets content as part of the subscription. Wellows' KIVA writes a brief and a draft, but someone on your side still edits and publishes it.
And data access. MCP and an API come with Cognizo's Platform plan. Wellows' API is reporting-only and the vendor notes that not every product field is exposed.
Where Wellows is ahead
Price, by a wide margin, and the fact that you can start today on a trial without a sales call.
The citation model is also sharper. Wellows reads the cited pages behind every answer and separates citations of your own pages from citations of third-party pages that mention you. Cited pages that never mention you become an outreach list, with Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Medium and Quora sorted apart from publisher sites. That's a concrete weekly to-do list, and nothing on our Cognizo listing matches it.
For agencies, unlimited projects and seats on a single balance beat a plan with 150 prompts and a sales-gated route to multiple brands.
Who should pick which
Wellows fits agencies and small in-house teams that want citation data and outreach targets across many projects, will write their own content, and don't need Claude or Grok.
Cognizo fits teams that would rather buy content and lead tracking as a package, need Claude, Meta AI or Grok in the data, and are comfortable with a demo-led plan that starts at $499 a month.
Neither fits a team that needs to see AI crawler activity on its own site or connect AI referrals to conversions at the session level. Wellows publishes neither. Cognizo publishes traffic analytics and lead tracking, but our listing finds no crawler-log product.
The comparison we'd make instead
If Cognizo's $499 is in your budget, put it next to Promptwatch before signing. Promptwatch Professional costs $245 a month for 150 prompts and 18,000 responses across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, AI Overviews and AI Mode. It adds 25M AI crawler log events through Agent Analytics, 1M visitor events with conversion tracking, and 5 AEO articles. Business at $579 brings the automated Content Agent, which plans, writes and publishes to Webflow, Framer or WordPress through a review inbox, plus 350 prompts and 100M crawler logs.
That's why Promptwatch is our pick over both. It tracks citations at page, domain, Reddit and YouTube level, publishes content through the Content Agent on Business, and adds the crawl-to-citation path that neither rival publishes. Conversion tracking starts on Essential at $95 a month, where Cognizo puts lead tracking on its $899 tier. Plans and a free Explore tier are at promptwatch.com.
