What tools track visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini?
Which AI visibility tools cover ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini together, how each handles Claude, and what the entry plans include, with sourced pricing.
Claude is the engine that trips up most coverage claims. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini appear on nearly every feature list. Claude often sits behind an add-on fee or an Enterprise plan, and the way it is tracked differs between tools. If your buyers use Claude, or you simply want the full set, you need to read the fine print. This comparison focuses on exactly that: who tracks all four, how, and at what tier.
Two ways Claude gets tracked
Tools reach Claude in two ways. Some call the model through its API, which is simple and consistent but does not necessarily match the experience of a person using the Claude app. Others try to reproduce live behavior, which is harder. Neither is wrong, but you should know which one you are buying. A vendor that says "Claude supported" without saying how is leaving out the most useful detail.
Also check where Claude sits in the pricing. Included at entry level, paid add-on and Enterprise-only are three very different situations.
What to look for
- Claude included at the plan you will actually buy.
- A clear statement of whether tracking uses live search or an API.
- Per-engine comparison on the same prompts.
- Cited sources for each engine, because Claude and Perplexity cite differently.
- Usage limits that do not multiply painfully across four engines.
The ranking
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch includes all active models on every paid plan, so Claude does not cost extra. To be precise about method: ChatGPT (Search), Perplexity and Gemini are monitored through their live-search experiences, alongside Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Copilot and Meta AI, while Claude (Haiku 5.5) is tracked via API, as are DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok. The platform also tracks the coding agents Codex and Claude Code, which matters for developer-tool brands.
Beyond coverage, it gives you the means to act. A heatmap compares brands against models. Citation analytics shows which sources each engine cites, and Agent Analytics logs IP-verified crawler visits from bots including ClaudeBot, Claude-User, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and OAI-SearchBot, with a citation rate per page. Visitor analytics attributes AI-referred traffic from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and others.
Explore is free (10 prompts, ChatGPT only). Essential is $95 a month, Professional $245 and Business $579, with agency plans from $199. Crawler logs start on Professional.
2. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ Starter is $295 a month with 3,600 credits and covers 11 models. Each AI response uses a credit, so four engines consume four responses per prompt run. It adds an Action Center. It has no crawler analytics.
3. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI Core is $250 a month and tracks four LLMs: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Neither Claude nor Gemini appears in that list. Enterprise covers nine LLMs.
4. Profound
Profound Enterprise covers up to nine answer engines, and its feature list names Claude among up to ten engines on Enterprise. The free 7-day trial covers only ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Custom pricing, earlier estimated near $40k a year.
5. SEO suite add-ons
Ahrefs Brand Radar offers Claude for Custom Prompts only, not in the AI Visibility Index. Semrush AI Toolkit lists Claude on its Enterprise tier according to our catalog entry, though pricing there could not be re-verified.
Simple trackers
Otterly.AI lists Claude as a paid add-on, with Gemini and Google AI Mode, on top of four base engines. Peec AI tracks several engines, but Claude has been listed as Enterprise-only in our entry, so check its current page.
Four-engine coverage table
| Tool | ChatGPT | Claude | Perplexity | Gemini |

Who should pick which
- You want all four without add-on fees, plus sources and crawlers: Promptwatch.
- You want broad model coverage with an action queue: AthenaHQ, mindful of credits.
- You are an enterprise buyer after agents: Profound.
Practical tips
Run the same prompt set on all four engines for two weeks, then compare. Claude's results usually deserve their own read, since they may be API-based in many tools. Note which engine cites which sources, and check that the matching crawler (ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot) can reach your pages. No tool can guarantee a mention, and answers vary by run.
Reading Claude results with care
If a tool tracks Claude through its API, treat the numbers as what the model says when asked, and keep them separate from live-search engines such as ChatGPT or Perplexity when you report. Mixing them in one average can hide differences worth acting on.
