Which software tracks AI prompts and answers daily?

Which software tracks AI prompts and answers daily? A ranked comparison of refresh cadence, prompt limits and pricing across the main AI visibility tools.

Several tools track AI prompts and answers daily, but "daily" means different things in different products. Some run every prompt every day on every engine. Some run a daily quota. Others refresh weekly or monthly. Before you compare logos, compare cadence, prompt limits and what you get after the answer is collected.

Our ranking puts Promptwatch first, because it runs daily prompt panels per model and then adds citation analytics, crawler logs and visitor analytics, which most daily trackers lack. The details below come from vendor pages as recorded in our directory, with the read dates noted there.

Why daily matters

AI answers vary from run to run. A weekly check gives you four data points a month, and one odd answer can swing a trend. Daily sampling smooths that out and lets you see whether a content change, a new competitor or a model update moved your numbers. It also lets you react within days when a drop is real.

How the main tools handle cadence

RankToolStarting priceCadence and limits, as recorded
1PromptwatchFree tier; paid from $95/moDaily prompt panels per model, country and language; plan limits on responses (Essential 6,000, Professional 18,000, Business 42,000)
2AthenaHQFree tier; from $295/moCredit-based: one credit per AI response, 3,600 on Starter; refresh cadence not stated in our entry
3Scrunch AIFrom $250/mo125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month on Core; our directory records weekly data refreshes
4ProfoundEnterprise customFree trial runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days; Enterprise cadence is not published
5HubSpot AEO$50/mo25 prompts daily, 2,500 answers a month, three engines
6Ahrefs Brand RadarCustom Prompts with paid Ahrefs plansCustom Prompts has a daily quota of 5, 10 or 20 by plan; the Index is retested monthly
7LLMrefsFree tier; paid plan price unconfirmedWeekly refreshed reports per directory

Read the table with care. "Daily quota" and "daily tracking" are not the same thing. A daily quota of 25 prompts means 25 prompts can be run each day, which is a cap. Daily panels across all your prompts and engines is what most teams think they are buying.

Promptwatch in detail

Promptwatch runs prompt panels daily per model, country and language. It monitors ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI through their real interfaces, and tracks API models such as Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok alongside them. Every paid plan unlocks all active models.

What happens after collection is the differentiator.

  • Answers and metrics: every response is stored. Visibility Score, Share of Voice, Position in Answer and a per-response sentiment score (1 to 100) feed dashboards with A/B period comparison and a weekly AI summary.
  • Citations: page, domain, Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn citation reports, plus offsite mentions.
  • Crawler logs: Agent Analytics reads IP-verified AI crawler logs. Crawler logs start on Professional.
  • Visitor analytics: AI-referred traffic and conversions.
  • Alerts: usage alerts at 85 percent of a quota, so you do not run dry mid-month.
  • Exports and reports: PDF reports, scheduled reports, Excel and CSV exports.

Plans: free Explore tier (10 prompts, 310 responses, ChatGPT only), Essential $95/mo (50 prompts, 6,000 responses), Professional $245/mo (150 prompts, 18,000 responses), Business $579/mo (350 prompts, 42,000 responses). Agency plans run $199, $399 and $799 with unlimited prompts and projects.

Credit and quota models

Two pricing models hide cost differences.

Response quotas count each answer. Fifty prompts across four engines every day is 6,000 answers a month, so a plan with 6,000 responses is right at the edge. Check the arithmetic against your prompt list before you buy.

Credit models, such as AthenaHQ's, treat one credit as one AI response. The effect is similar, with the difference that you buy credits as a pool.

Scrunch AI's directory entry also notes that prompt credits are consumed per engine, so multi-engine tracking uses allowances faster than the headline figure suggests.

Who should pick which

  • You want daily panels plus the explanation and attribution layers: Promptwatch.
  • You want an action queue and accept credit billing: AthenaHQ.
  • You want monitoring with site audits, and weekly data is acceptable: Scrunch AI.
  • You want a cheap daily quota on three engines: HubSpot AEO.
  • You live in Ahrefs and want a small daily quota: Brand Radar Custom Prompts.

Before you buy

  1. Count prompts times engines times 30. That is your monthly response need.
  2. Ask the vendor whether every prompt runs daily or only a quota.
  3. Ask whether answers come from the real interface or an API.
  4. Check what you get beyond mentions: citations, crawler logs and conversions.
  5. Run a two-week trial and compare the trend to a few manual checks.

No tool can guarantee a recommendation. Daily tracking tells you where you stand and how it changes, and that is what makes the next fix easier to choose.
