InSpace alternatives (2026): five options that cost less or tie you in less
InSpace's NOVA starts at $1,000 a month on a one-year term. We put Promptwatch, AthenaHQ, Outrank, SEObot and FirstIndex on one grid: price, commitment, content output, and whether you can measure AI visibility yourself.
Quick verdict
People who shortlist InSpace usually want two things: pages written and published for them, and proof that AI engines pick those pages up. InSpace sells the first on a 12-month term from $1,000 a month, and reports the second with a method it doesn't publish. Promptwatch is the alternative we'd evaluate first because its Business plan ($579 a month, billed monthly) covers both halves. AthenaHQ suits teams that want a GEO score and a task queue. Outrank and SEObot are the low-cost route to article volume. FirstIndex is the managed service to look at if you want people doing the work and won't sign for a year.
Why buyers look past InSpace
The reasons come straight from InSpace's own pages, read on 29 October 2026. The "Monthly" price is a one-year plan paid monthly; its pricing script passes a 12-month term to the contact form, and the NOVA FAQ says you choose a 1-year or 2-year plan. Entry is $1,000 a month for 10 pages, so $100 a page and $12,000 committed before you see a result. There's no free plan, trial or checkout.
Then there's the reporting. InSpace says NOVA includes GEO monitoring, but the only detail is an example dashboard for a fictional brand. Prompt counts, prompt selection, refresh frequency and countries are not published, and AI crawler logs and AI-referred conversions are not described on its product, pricing or service pages. From month two the content calendar is auto-approved unless you flag items. Each alternative below fixes at least one of those problems.

The shortlist
1. Promptwatch
The only option here that writes, publishes and measures in one account. On Business, the Content Agent plans against your visibility gaps on a publishing calendar with a monthly budget, publish windows and a per-day cap, then sends drafts to a review inbox or runs hands-off with a quality check. That is a better default than InSpace's auto-approved calendar, because you choose how much oversight to keep. It publishes to WordPress, Webflow and Framer.
The measurement is what InSpace lacks. Agent Analytics records IP-verified AI crawler hits (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others) and traces each page from crawl to citation. Visitor analytics count AI-referred sessions and conversions. Monitors run prompts daily in the real interfaces of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI, with Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral tracked via API. One caution: Essential ($95) has no crawler logs, and agency plans don't include AEO articles or the Content Agent.
2. AthenaHQ
A GEO platform built around a score and an Action Center that turns gaps into tasks, with a content optimization agent on Starter. Starter costs $295 a month for 3,600 credits across 11 models. Our listing names Shopify and Webflow integrations plus Google Analytics and Search Console connections, but no crawler-log product. Our listing also doesn't document whether its agent publishes finished pages into a CMS, so ask before you treat it as a content replacement.
3. Outrank
A content autopilot: keyword research, writing and scheduled publishing, with a backlink exchange in the base plan. $99 a month buys 30 articles, roughly $3.30 each against InSpace's $100. It publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Wix, Ghost and others. No human reviewer, and no published AI tracking.
4. SEObot
Similar shape, more price steps: $49 for 9 articles up to $1,050 for 300. It runs on autopilot by default with optional approve or moderate controls, and its integrations include HubSpot and Shopify. No free trial; the $49 plan has a refund after the first article.
5. FirstIndex
The closest match to InSpace as a service, for software companies only. $2,000 a month, month to month, for up to 12 articles, 50+ fixes to existing pages and a weekly report, with each change checked by a person. It costs more per month than Stratosphere but you can leave. Like InSpace, it doesn't say how it tracks AI answers.
A year of spend on each
| Option | Cost for 12 months | What the year covers |
|---|---|---|
| InSpace Stratosphere | $12,000 minimum | 120 pages, success manager, specialist review |
| Promptwatch Business | $6,948 billed monthly, or $5,790 annual | 120 AEO articles, Content Agent, 350 prompts, crawler logs, visitor analytics |
| Promptwatch Professional | $2,940 billed monthly | 60 AEO articles, 150 prompts, crawler logs |
| AthenaHQ Starter | $3,540 | 3,600 credits a month, content optimization agent |
| Outrank | $1,188 | 360 articles |
| SEObot Growth | $1,188 | 240 articles |
| FirstIndex | $24,000 if kept all year | up to 144 articles plus page fixes |
The annual Promptwatch figure uses its 12-months-for-10 billing. Every other row is monthly price times twelve.
Who should pick which
- You want content and proof it worked from one vendor: Promptwatch Business.
- You want to test before paying: Promptwatch Explore (free) or a 7-day Professional trial, or AthenaHQ's free Essential tier.
- You want a GEO score and an assignable task list: AthenaHQ.
- You need volume on a small budget and can edit: Outrank or SEObot, ideally with a Promptwatch plan to measure the results.
- You run a software company and want a person-checked service on month-to-month terms: FirstIndex.
- You publish on Magento or Storyblok and need a done-for-you team: InSpace is one of the few here that lists those, but read the term before signing.
Our pick
InSpace asks for a year of commitment and gives you no way to verify the AI results yourself. Promptwatch fixes both: monthly billing, published limits, and crawler logs plus AI-referred visits that show what each page did.
