Otterly.AI alternatives in 2026: seven AI visibility tools compared
Outgrowing Otterly.AI's engine add-ons and prompt caps? Seven alternatives compared on price, engine coverage, crawler data and what each one leaves out, from pricing pages captured November 6, 2026.
Most teams start shopping around a few months in, once the prompt list has grown and the questions have changed. The first question was "are we mentioned in ChatGPT?" The later ones are harder. Which page did the engine cite? Did the AI crawlers ever read the new content? Did any of those answers send a visitor who bought something? That is usually the point where AthenaHQ, Scrunch AI and a few others land on the same shortlist as Otterly.AI.
Otterly has real strengths. It is quick to set up, it offers a free trial, every plan has unlimited team members, and its pricing page lists daily tracking on all three self-serve tiers. The reasons people leave sit in the plan structure. On the page we captured on November 6, 2026, every plan tracks four engines in the base price: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are paid add-ons priced per tier. Lite covers 15 prompts and can't buy extra prompt packs, while Standard and Premium can add 100 prompts for €99 a month. API access, MCP access and Agent Analytics events only start on Standard. Our catalog also lists no visitor analytics that tie AI referrals to conversions, and no content agent that writes and publishes pages.

This guide covers seven alternatives. Each was checked against its own pricing or product page, captured the same day, and against our catalog entries. If you have already decided to switch and want a migration plan, our earlier piece on leaving Otterly for more accurate data walks through a parallel-run test you can do before cancelling anything.
Quick verdict
Promptwatch is the alternative to evaluate first. It is the only tool here that pairs prompt tracking with IP-verified AI crawler logs, visitor analytics tied to conversions, and a content agent that publishes, and every paid plan can track any of the supported engines without an engine add-on. AthenaHQ is the pick for teams that want an action queue and can live with credit billing. Scrunch AI suits content-heavy sites interested in serving optimized pages to AI agents. If all you want is a cheaper or more transparent tracker, Rankshift and LLM Pulse are the closest like-for-like swaps.

1. Promptwatch: the full loop, not only the mention
Promptwatch's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026.
Promptwatch is built around the questions Otterly users tend to hit after the first quarter. It monitors the real interfaces of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI, and adds API-tracked models such as Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok. Every paid plan can track any of the supported engines, so there is no per-engine add-on to price in.
The plans are simple to read. Essential is $95 a month for 1 project, 50 prompts and 6,000 responses. Professional is $245 for 2 projects, 150 prompts and 18,000 responses. Business is $579 for 5 projects, 350 prompts and 42,000 responses. All three have a 7-day free trial on monthly billing and unlimited team seats, and annual billing gives 12 months for the price of 10.
What changes compared with Otterly is everything after the mention. Agent Analytics logs AI crawler visits that are IP-verified against each operator's published ranges, so a spoofed user agent doesn't count as GPTBot. It shows a citation rate per page, which separates an access problem (the bot never read the page) from a content problem (it read it and cited someone else). To be fair, Otterly now lists Agent Analytics events on Standard and Premium. What our catalog doesn't document for Otterly is the depth: the crawl-to-citation path and error tracking. Promptwatch's Visitor Analytics then counts AI-referred visits and conversions through a lightweight script, a GTM template or the WordPress plugin. ChatGPT stopped sending a referrer on October 8, 2026, and an "Include ChatGPT UTM referrers" toggle counts utm_source=chatgpt.com visits as ChatGPT again.
On the content side, Professional includes 5 AEO articles a month. Business adds the automated Content Agent, which plans, writes and publishes to WordPress, Webflow or Framer from a review inbox.
The limits are real. Essential has no crawler logs, so the plan most comparable to Otterly's price range leaves out the feature that most sets Promptwatch apart. There is also more product to learn than in a pure tracker. Agencies get separate plans (Kick-off $199, Growth $399, Scale $799 a month) with unlimited projects and prompts, but those plans don't include the Content Agent.
2. AthenaHQ: an action queue, paid for in credits
AthenaHQ's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026.
AthenaHQ is the alternative for teams whose real frustration was "we can see the problem but not what to do about it." Starter ($295 a month) includes on-page and off-page actions, a content optimization agent, unlimited topics, prompts and competitors, and visibility across 11 models, including Gemini, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. A free Essential tier with 300 credits covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot, which works as a trial.
The catch is credits. One credit equals one AI response, and Starter includes 3,600 a month. That sounds like a lot until you do the arithmetic: 30 prompts on four engines, checked daily, is about 120 responses a day, or roughly the whole monthly allowance. "Unlimited prompts" is true, but the credits decide how many you can run. API access and extra credits are paid add-ons on top of Starter, with prices on request. Starter is country-level for a single market, and multi-region tracking, persona targeting and the Athena Citation Engine sit on Enterprise. Our catalog documents no AI crawler-log product.
It suits teams of two or more people who will work the action list every week and watch their credit balance.
3. Scrunch AI: agent-facing pages, narrower base coverage
Scrunch AI's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026.
Scrunch AI has the most distinctive idea on this list. Its Agent Experience Platform (AXP) serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to AI agents without changing what human visitors see. That is an Enterprise feature, though. Core costs $250 a month and covers 125 unique prompts, 5,000 responses a month, 5 site audits, one brand workspace and five user licenses, with a 7-day free trial. Core also includes AI agent and bot traffic reporting, sentiment, and insights and recommendations.
The detail to notice is that Core tracks four LLMs: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. That is the same base set as Otterly. If engine coverage is your reason for leaving, Core doesn't fix it; Enterprise moves to nine. The volume arithmetic also deserves a look. 125 prompts on four engines is 500 responses per full run, so 5,000 responses covers about ten full runs a month. Core is also limited to one country, one language, one persona and five competitors. Our catalog notes that Sitecore acquired Scrunch in June 2026, which matters if you worry about where the roadmap goes.
It suits content-heavy sites that want to experiment with agent-facing pages and can reach Enterprise.
4. Rankshift: unlimited seats, credits underneath
Rankshift's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026. Prices shown in euros for a visitor in the Netherlands.
Rankshift is the most direct swap for agencies. Every paid plan includes unlimited projects and unlimited seats, tracks all LLMs, and allows daily or weekly refresh. Starter is €69 a month billed annually with 150 prompts a day and 9,500 credits. Professional is €159 with 350 prompts and 22,000 credits, and Business €359 with 850 prompts and 53,000 credits. Annual billing saves 10 percent, and there is a 30-day trial, the longest here. Our catalog lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Mistral, Claude and Meta AI among its engines.
Two things to check. In the captured screenshot, crawler analytics, Looker Studio and MCP and API access are greyed out on Starter and start on Professional. And how deep those crawler analytics go is not documented in our sources. Our catalog describes no CMS publishing, although every plan includes a content brief generator and an AI content writer.
5. LLM Pulse: published euro pricing, weekly by default
LLM Pulse's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026. Prices shown in euros for a visitor in the Netherlands.
LLM Pulse is a small Barcelona team with clear pricing. With weekly tracking, Starter is €49 a month (or €490 a year) for 50 prompts and one project, Growth is €99 for 150 prompts, and Scale is €299 for 450 prompts. Our catalog lists daily tracking at €79, €149 and €449. Every plan includes five AI models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews) and an MCP server. Growth adds sentiment, social and community tracking and AI traffic analytics. Scale adds ChatGPT Shopping and AI ads tracking, the API, a Looker Studio connector and a CLI.
The weak spot will feel familiar to Otterly users: Claude, Copilot, Meta AI and other engines are paid add-ons. Weekly is the default cadence too, so a drop can sit unseen for days unless you pay for daily.
6. Profound: an enterprise program, not a tracker swap
Profound sells itself as an "AI Marketer," a set of agents for research, content and reporting, with AI search insights as one part. Its pricing page shows a free Trial (50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited agent credits) and a custom Enterprise plan with up to nine answer engines, ChatGPT Shopping, API access, CSV and JSON exports, SSO and SOC 2. Agent Analytics is listed with integrations including Cloudflare, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai and AWS. No plan prices are shown. Our catalog's earlier estimate puts Enterprise contracts at around $40,000 a year, which is a different budget from Otterly's.
It suits enterprise marketing teams that want a managed agent program. It is a poor fit for a team replacing a tool that costs a few hundred euros a month.
7. Rankscale: cheap credits, technical setup
Rankscale uses monthly credits, and our catalog notes that one engine query typically costs 0.25 credit, though the cost varies by engine. On the captured page, Pro is €99 a month for 1,200 credits and up to 4,800 answers, with 10 brand dashboards, 50 page audits and a free trial. Pro+ is €229 and adds the REST API. Growth (€385) adds white-label options, and Enterprise is €780. Yearly billing saves 15 percent. Our catalog also lists a cheaper Essentials tier that the captured page did not show, so confirm it before you plan around it. The page audits, which score any URL for AI search, are the reason to look.
Who should pick which
- You want to know why you are or aren't cited, and what that is worth in traffic: Promptwatch. Start on Professional if crawler logs matter.
- You want an assignable action list and accept credits: AthenaHQ.
- You want to try agent-facing pages and can reach an enterprise contract: Scrunch AI.
- You run an agency and seats are the problem: Rankshift, then check what Starter leaves out.
- You want low, published euro prices and can live with weekly data: LLM Pulse.
- You want page-level AI audits on a small budget: Rankscale.
- You are buying an enterprise agent program, not a tracker: Profound.
- Your prompt list is small and four engines are enough: stay on Otterly.AI. Switching costs time, and a tool that already answers your question doesn't need replacing.
Our recommendation
Most teams leave Otterly because they need to explain a number, not just report it. That job is easiest in Promptwatch, because the explanation lives in the crawler logs and the traffic data that sit next to the prompt results. Agent Analytics tells you whether GPTBot or ClaudeBot ever reached the page you want cited, and Visitor Analytics tells you whether the answers that did cite you sent anyone who converted. Neither is documented at that depth for the trackers on this list. Run your current Otterly prompt list through the 7-day free trial on Professional, keep Otterly running in parallel for that week, and compare the two side by side before you cancel.

Rankshift and LLM Pulse are the closest in shape: self-serve trackers with published plans. Rankshift adds unlimited seats and projects; LLM Pulse keeps prices low but defaults to weekly tracking. If you want more than a tracker, Promptwatch is the one to compare.
Which alternatives cover Gemini and Claude without engine add-ons?
On the pages we captured, every paid Promptwatch plan can track any of the supported engines (Claude is tracked via API), AthenaHQ Starter lists 11 models including Gemini and Claude, and Rankshift says every plan tracks all LLMs. LLM Pulse sells Claude as an add-on. Scrunch Core covers four LLMs and moves to nine on Enterprise.
