Top AI share of voice tracking tools in 2026: ranked and compared
The top AI share of voice tracking tools in 2026, ranked on method, engines, competitor coverage and published pricing, with a clear pick for each type of team.
Every AI visibility vendor now reports share of voice, which makes the label nearly useless as a filter. What separates tools is what happens around the number: how many engines feed it, whether you can set the competitor list, how often it refreshes, and whether anything on the page tells you why it moved. This is a ranking of tracking tools by those traits.
Plan data comes from pages read in late October 2026. Promptwatch details come from the Promptwatch fact sheet, and anything we could not verify is marked as such.
How we ranked
We scored each tool on five practical points.
- Engine coverage. How many answer engines are tracked, and whether tracking is real-interface or API-based.
- Competitor control. Can you define, merge and compare competitors?
- Cadence. Daily, weekly or credit-metered.
- Explanatory depth. Citations, crawler data, traffic.
- Price transparency. Published numbers beat quote walls.
Ranking rules we apply across this site: dedicated AI-search platforms come before enterprise marketing-agent products, and the cheapest tools that only monitor sit lower unless they do something distinctive.
The top tools
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch tracks live-search platforms in the real interface (ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, Amazon Alexa and Meta AI, plus the coding agents Codex and Claude Code) and, via API, models such as Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok. Prompt panels run daily per model, country and language. Share of Voice sits next to Visibility Score, Sentiment (scored 1 to 100 per response) and Position in Answer. Competitors can be auto-discovered and merged, and a heatmap compares brands against models, topics or countries.
What lifts it above the field is the explanation layer. Citation analytics, crawler logs (IP-verified, from Professional), visitor analytics and a prioritized Action Board turn a share-of-voice dip into a to-do list. Plans: Explore is free (ChatGPT only, 10 prompts), Essential $95, Professional $245, Business $579 a month. Agencies have Kick-off $199, Growth $399 and Scale $799.
2. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ has a GEO score, unlimited competitors and 11 models on Starter at $295 a month, with an Action Center for tasks. Billing is in credits at one per response, so heavy panels burn through them. Multi-region support and personas are Enterprise.
3. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI Core is $250 a month for four LLMs, 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month with competitor benchmarking, site audits and bot traffic reporting. Enterprise adds nine LLMs and the Agent Experience Platform.
4. Profound
Profound tracks up to nine engines on its custom Enterprise plan and reports citation share and answer-level analytics. It is sold as an AI Marketer with agents for content, demand and PR, and the earlier estimate for Enterprise is about $40k a year. A free 7-day trial exists with 50 prompts and three engines.
5. Mentionable
Mentionable tracks seven engines daily from 79 EUR a month excluding tax, shows share of voice per competitor and prompt, and captures fan-out queries. Unlimited team members are included. It has no crawler logs or conversion tracking.
6. Ceyo
Ceyo reports Share of Answer per model and query across eight engines from real interfaces, from $39 a month billed yearly, with models capped at two, three or four per plan.
7. Allmond
Allmond runs ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity in 67+ countries from $29 a month, with a 0 to 100 visibility score and competitor tracking. Scheduled runs are weekly or monthly.
Suite add-ons and research tools
Semrush AI Toolkit is $99 a month per domain for 25 prompts, with extra domains, users and prompts billed on top. Ahrefs Brand Radar includes Custom Prompts on paid Ahrefs plans, with an AI Visibility Index from $199 a month built on modeled prompts. Evertune analyzes large answer samples for brand perception on a custom price.

Who should pick which
You need share of voice you can diagnose: Promptwatch.
You prefer one score and an action queue and have an enterprise budget: AthenaHQ.
You want a cheap, daily reading of seven engines in euros: Mentionable.
You are an agency with a book of clients: Promptwatch's agency plans or Ceyo's project ladder, depending on whether you need crawler logs and visitor analytics.
What the number means
Share of voice is a sample from a prompt panel you picked. State the panel, the engines and the competitor set next to every figure and hold them fixed between periods. No tool can promise that engines will recommend you; they measure where you stand, and the better ones show why.
