What is the best AI visibility tool for SEO agencies?
A ranked comparison of AI visibility tools for SEO agencies: multi-client workspaces, white-label reporting, pricing and which one scales across clients.
Agencies need different things from an AI visibility tool than in-house teams do. One brand and one dashboard is fine for a company. An agency has ten, thirty or a hundred clients, each with its own prompts, competitors and reporting rhythm, and a margin that disappears if the tool charges per brand or forces manual exports. This ranking looks at the tools through that lens.
What agencies should look for
Multi-client structure. Separate workspaces or projects per client, with sensible limits.
Pricing that scales. Per-client or per-prompt pricing can wreck a retainer. Unlimited projects, or clear client capacity, matter.
Reporting. PDF reports, scheduled delivery, a Looker Studio connector, and white-label options.
Pitch support. Being able to show a prospect their gaps before they sign.
Depth beyond mentions. Crawler logs, citation analytics and traffic attribution give you things to fix and to report on. A mention count alone produces thin retainers.
Honest limits. Be wary of anything that promises placement.
Ranking
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch has dedicated agency plans, which is the main reason it ranks first for this audience, alongside the depth of the platform.
Agency self-serve plans, in USD per month on monthly billing:
- Kick-off: $199 with 10,000 responses, 1,000 Agent Credits, 500K visitor events and 10M crawler logs.
- Growth: $399 with 25,000 responses, 2,500 Agent Credits, 2M visitor events and 25M crawler logs.
- Scale: $799 with 65,000 responses, 6,500 Agent Credits, 15M visitor events, 100M crawler logs, an audit log and local GEO/SEO coordinate targeting.
Every agency plan includes unlimited projects, unlimited pitch projects, unlimited prompts, 10 seats, all AI models, Agent Chat, country, state and city tracking, Ads Radar, visitor analytics, crawler logs, site audit, content gap analysis, custom reports, the Looker Studio connector and MCP plus API. Llms.txt also lists a white-label workspace and client portal for agencies, and white-label branding on PDF exports and schedules, though it does not tie that to a specific plan, so confirm with Promptwatch which plan includes it. Agency plans do not include AEO articles, the knowledge base, 360 Insights, Shopping Insights or the automated Content Agent, so content production sits with your team.
The depth is what makes retainers defensible: IP-verified AI crawler logs, citation analytics with Reddit and YouTube reports, visitor analytics with conversions, and the Action Board. The managed service and Content Agent come with Business and Enterprise brand plans.
2. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ tracks AI answers, scores visibility and turns gaps into actions through an Action Center. Starter is $295 a month with 3,600 credits, one per AI response, and Starter is single-country. Multi-market client work pushes toward Enterprise. Its pricing page also lists a free Essential tier with 300 credits for evaluation.
3. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI has Core at $250 a month with one brand workspace and five user licenses, so multi-client use means more spend or Enterprise. Its site audits and bot traffic reporting add value.
4. Profound
Profound mentions a self-serve Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace, but shows no price on its page. Enterprise is custom, with an earlier estimate of about $40k a year that we have not re-confirmed.
5. Suites and other options
Semrush AI Toolkit is listed at $99 a month per domain, with extra domains costing extra, which we could not verify on the vendor page. Ahrefs Brand Radar has no white-label or per-client structure that we found. SE Ranking lists agency-friendly reporting, with an AI Search add-on from EUR 79 a month. Ceyo is written for agencies, with Grow at $119 a month billed yearly including white-label exports.

Who should pick which
Most SEO agencies should start with Promptwatch. The deciding factor is unlimited projects and prompts on every agency plan, with crawler logs and reporting included.
Agencies mainly selling optimization actions may look at AthenaHQ for a few high-value clients.
Agencies already inside Semrush or Ahrefs can bolt on AI tracking, but watch per-domain costs.
Limits
No tool can promise an engine will name your client. Sell the diagnosis, the plan and the measurement, and put that in the retainer.
