ZeroRank alternatives (2026): eight platforms checked against a $39 baseline
ZeroRank packs 17 platforms, unlimited seats and approval-gated fixes into $39 a month. Eight alternatives on one grid, scored on what ZeroRank doesn't publish: crawler logs, first-party conversions, shopping and ads.
Quick verdict
ZeroRank is hard to undercut on price, so the reason to look elsewhere is almost never the bill. It's measurement. ZeroRank publishes no server-side AI crawler logs, reads AI traffic through Google Analytics, and doesn't list ChatGPT Shopping, sponsored-ad tracking, personas or city-level targeting. Promptwatch is the alternative we'd evaluate first because it publishes all of those layers on self-serve plans. AthenaHQ fits teams that want a GEO score and an action queue, and Scrunch AI fits brands that want to change what AI crawlers are served. If all you need is broad tracking plus a content workflow on a small budget, keep ZeroRank.
What you give up for $39
ZeroRank's Starter plan, read on zerorank.ai/pricing on 28 October 2026, includes all 17 AI platforms, unlimited prompts, countries and seats, shareable client dashboards, an MCP server and a REST API. Agentic workflows that push an approved fix to WordPress or Webflow are on every paid plan. That is more than most trackers put on their entry tier.
The limits show up in three places.
First, volume. Starter's budget is 2,400 AI answers a month, which ZeroRank's own example puts at about 26 prompts a day on three standard models. Higher-cost models burn through it faster, and scheduled and manual runs share the same pool.
Second, diagnosis. The technical analysis checks robots.txt, llms.txt and what each AI crawler gets back from a page. That tells you whether a bot could read the page. It doesn't tell you whether ChatGPTBot actually came, how often, or whether the visit errored.
Third, value. AI Traffic connects to Google Analytics. ZeroRank says itself that Google reports AI Overviews clicks as organic and Copilot referrals as bing.com, so its AI traffic figure is a lower bound, and the data can lag up to 48 hours.
The matrix
ZeroRank facts come from its pricing, platform and changelog pages, read 28 October 2026. Every other row comes from that tool's listing in our directory. "Not published" means the vendor material we sourced doesn't document it, not that the feature is proven absent.

The shortlist
1. Promptwatch. The one row that fills every column ZeroRank leaves thin. Agent Analytics reads real crawler hits from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN or a custom HTTP feed. Visitor analytics run on Promptwatch's own script, so the traffic number doesn't depend on a Google Analytics connection. Prompts carry search volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs and personas, and Business adds ChatGPT Shopping, Ads Radar and state and city tracking. The trade is price and seats: Essential is $95 with one seat, and the automated Content Agent starts on Business at $579.
2. AthenaHQ. A GEO platform built around a score and an Action Center, with 3,600 credits on Starter where one credit is one AI response. Personas, multi-region and the Athena Citation Engine sit on Enterprise, per our listing.
3. Scrunch AI. Core tracks four engines and reports AI bot traffic. AXP, which serves AI-optimized versions of pages to crawlers without changing what people see, is the reason to shortlist it, and it's Enterprise only.
4. Rankshift. The closest structural match: unlimited seats and projects, MCP and API on each paid plan, and crawler analytics in the feature list. Prices didn't render when our listing was checked, so get a quote before comparing.
5. Profound. Sold as enterprise marketing agents with AI search as one channel. Public pricing is a trial plus custom Enterprise.
6 to 8. LLM Pulse, Rankscale and Wellows. Cheaper or similar entry prices, fewer engines than ZeroRank lists. LLM Pulse is the only one of the three that lists ChatGPT Shopping and AI paid ads tracking, on its €299 Scale plan.
Who should pick which
- You need to see what AI bots actually do on your site: Promptwatch. Scrunch and Rankshift report bot activity, but neither listing documents a crawl-to-citation path.
- You need AI conversions measured on your own tracking: Promptwatch, from Essential.
- You sell products or compete with paid placements in AI answers: Promptwatch Business for Shopping and Ads Radar, or any Promptwatch agency plan for Ads Radar. LLM Pulse Scale if euros and a lighter tool suit you.
- You want a GEO score with an assignable action list: AthenaHQ.
- You want to change what crawlers receive: Scrunch AI Enterprise.
- You want ZeroRank's shape with a longer trial: Rankshift.
When to stay on ZeroRank
If your team is several people sharing one tracker, your clients care about breadth of engines more than causation, and you want approved edits to land in WordPress or Webflow without buying a higher tier, ZeroRank is a good deal. Few tools in this matrix put workflows, MCP and unlimited seats on a $39 plan.
Our pick
Most teams leave ZeroRank when someone asks why a page isn't cited, or what the citations earned. Those answers live in crawler logs and first-party conversion data, and Promptwatch is the alternative here that publishes both. Start on the free Explore plan or an Essential trial at promptwatch.com, or see every ZeroRank alternative in the directory.
