Best GEO tools for Shopify stores in 2026, reviewed head to head
Seven GEO tools reviewed for Shopify stores: ChatGPT Shopping and retailer-agent tracking, crawler data for a Shopify site, AI-referred revenue and publishing, each set against Promptwatch.
A Shopify store has a different AI search problem from a SaaS company. The question is rarely only "does ChatGPT mention our brand?" It is "does ChatGPT put our product in the shopping carousel, at what price, next to which competitors, and did anyone who saw it buy?" Then there is the store itself. Shopify hosts it, so you don't have server logs in the usual sense, and seeing which AI crawlers read your product pages takes an integration that works with Shopify's setup.
We reviewed seven tools against that job. For each one we read the public product page and pricing page (captured November 6, 2026), the vendor's documentation where our catalog had it, and our catalog entry. Nothing here comes from running a store through the tools. We scored each against five questions:
- Which shopping surfaces does it track: ChatGPT Shopping, Amazon's Alexa results, Walmart Sparky?
- Can it see AI crawler activity on a Shopify-hosted store?
- Does it connect AI answers to visits, orders or revenue?
- Can it act, by fixing product data or publishing content?
- What does the plan that includes all of that cost?
Each entry ends with a head-to-head against Promptwatch, because that is the comparison most store owners end up making.
Quick verdict
Promptwatch is the most complete choice for a Shopify store that wants the whole picture: product placements in ChatGPT Shopping and Amazon Alexa results, sponsored ads around its prompts, IP-verified crawler logs through Cloudflare, and AI-referred conversions in one place. The shopping features start on Business at $579 a month. Wildcard is the strongest specialist if your problem is product and collection pages and you want fixes published straight to Shopify. AthenaHQ is the pick if you want an action queue with a Shopify integration attached.

1. Promptwatch: the full store picture, from carousel to checkout
Promptwatch's integrations page, captured November 6, 2026.
Promptwatch covers more of the five questions than anything else here. ChatGPT Shopping tracking, on Business ($579 a month) and Enterprise, follows ChatGPT's shopping carousels and Amazon Alexa product results. You can upload your own catalog and filter by model, date and monitor. Ads Radar, also from Business, captures the sponsored ads that appear in ChatGPT Search, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode answers to your tracked prompts. For each ad you get the advertiser, the target URL, the triggering prompt, the copy and the landing page, which is useful when a competitor starts buying your category. Our explainer on ChatGPT Shopping and Alexa product results tracking goes deeper on that part.
The crawler question has a Shopify-specific answer. Promptwatch's integrations page says sites on Shopify can connect through Cloudflare with a guided setup. From Professional ($245) up, Agent Analytics then shows IP-verified visits from GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot and the rest, with a citation rate per page. For a store, that is how you tell a product page that bots never fetch from one they fetch and still don't cite.
Visitor Analytics is on every plan and installs with a lightweight script or the GTM template. It counts AI-referred visits and conversions from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and others. One store-relevant detail: ChatGPT stopped sending a referrer on October 8, 2026, and an "Include ChatGPT UTM referrers" toggle counts utm_source=chatgpt.com visits as ChatGPT again.
Head to head: The weak spot for Shopify is publishing. Promptwatch publishes to WordPress, Webflow and Framer, not to Shopify, so product and collection copy goes out through Markdown or HTML export. It doesn't track Walmart Sparky either. And the shopping features need Business. Agency plans don't include ChatGPT Shopping at all.
2. AthenaHQ: an action queue with a Shopify integration
AthenaHQ's homepage, captured November 6, 2026.
AthenaHQ is the only general GEO platform here that names Shopify as a publishing route. Its FAQ says the Shopify integration lets you "publish AEO-optimized content and attribute revenue to AI Search," and that GA4 connects AI visibility to traffic and conversions. The same FAQ advises clean product data, product schema, accurate pricing and verified reviews for ChatGPT Shopping. The pricing table lists a smart robots.txt and llms.txt manager for AI crawler access. Starter is $295 a month for 3,600 credits across 11 models, with country-level support. A free Essential tier gives 300 credits.
What we couldn't find is product-level shopping tracking: the sources we read describe brand and prompt visibility, not carousel placements per SKU. Our catalog lists no crawler-log product either.
Head to head: AthenaHQ wins on publishing to Shopify and on its action workflow. Promptwatch wins on shopping-surface tracking, IP-verified crawler logs and first-party conversion data. Credit billing also makes AthenaHQ harder to forecast: one credit is one AI response, so a large product prompt set uses Starter's allowance quickly.
3. Wildcard: built for Shopify catalogs
Wildcard's homepage, captured November 6, 2026.
Wildcard is the most Shopify-native tool on the list. It syncs your catalog from Shopify (our catalog notes it uses Shopify's GraphQL API), BigCommerce, Salesforce or a PIM such as Akeneo or Salsify. It then runs real buyer questions with search volume each week across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, and also covers Walmart Sparky and Alexa for Shopping. Amazon Rufus is in beta. Every answer is stored with the products named, their rank and the sources cited.
The action side is where it is strongest for a store. Gaps become drafted work: enriched product data, collection pages, blogs, press outreach, Reddit and YouTube. The homepage says nothing publishes without your approval. Revenue attribution ties orders back to the AI surface, with first-click and last-click views per our catalog. Basic is $99 a month for 10 actions, 50 prompts, 20 products, one workspace, weekly refresh and Shopify publishing. Tracking and the visibility audit cost no credits, and actions draw on credit packs that never expire.
Head to head: Wildcard beats Promptwatch on Shopify catalog sync, publishing to Shopify and Walmart Sparky coverage. Promptwatch beats Wildcard on crawler logs (Wildcard publishes none), refresh rate (Basic is weekly), Ads Radar, engine breadth, and anything beyond products, such as brand and category prompts. Many stores could reasonably run both.
4. Scrunch AI: product observability, at the enterprise tier
Scrunch AI's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026.
Scrunch AI lists a Shopping product ("See AI search performance at the product level") in its navigation. The pricing table shows the catch: "Product Observability" is marked for Enterprise, not Core. Core ($250 a month, 7-day free trial) covers 125 prompts, 5,000 responses, four LLMs, one country, site audits and AI agent and bot traffic reporting. AXP, which serves AI-optimized versions of pages to agents, is also Enterprise. We found no Shopify integration in the sources we read.
Head to head: On Core, Scrunch is a brand tracker with bot reporting, and the shopping view needs an enterprise contract. Promptwatch's shopping tracking also sits on a higher tier (Business), but at a published price and with conversions included.
5. Azoma: enterprise commerce across retailer agents
Azoma's homepage, captured November 6, 2026.
Azoma is the most commerce-focused platform reviewed, built for enterprise consumer brands that sell through marketplaces. It connects to Amazon, Walmart, PIM systems, Shopify and Google Merchant Center, tracks brand, category and SKU-level visibility across LLMs and retailer shopping agents, and fills product data gaps automatically. Per our catalog, it publishes PDP and content changes to Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify and Shopify, attributes revenue at SKU level, and flags inaccurate product claims through a feature it calls Answer Integrity. Pricing is custom and sales-led.
Head to head: For a large brand selling across Amazon and Walmart as well as its own Shopify store, Azoma covers retailer agents Promptwatch doesn't track. For a Shopify-first store, it is a heavy enterprise purchase with no published price, and our catalog notes its crawler monitoring comes without published log connectors or a crawl-to-citation path.
6. Goodie AI: agentic commerce from the Pro tier
Goodie's pricing page, captured November 6, 2026.
Goodie AI adds "SKU-level agentic commerce visibility" on Pro at $999 a month, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Alexa and Walmart Sparky. Core ($295, 7-day free trial) tracks five models and 110 prompts without the commerce layer. Shopify appears in the integration list, along with Cloudflare, Vercel and WordPress, and the page lists agents for content, technical fixes and outreach. Complete revenue attribution is listed on Enterprise. The page doesn't say which tier includes the agents and crawler analytics.
Head to head: Goodie's commerce tier costs more than Promptwatch Business and adds Walmart Sparky. Promptwatch is clearer about what each plan includes and puts conversions on every plan.
7. Profound: SKU-level ChatGPT Shopping inside an enterprise program
Profound's homepage, captured November 6, 2026.
Profound tracks product visibility in ChatGPT Shopping "with SKU-level granularity across merchants and retailers," according to its homepage. The pricing page puts ChatGPT Shopping on Enterprise only; the free Trial excludes it. Agent Analytics tracks AI-sourced traffic and attribution with integrations for Cloudflare, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, AWS, Google Cloud and Google Analytics. Shopify isn't named, though a store behind Cloudflare may fit. No plan prices are published, and our catalog's earlier estimate for Enterprise is around $40,000 a year.
Head to head: Profound's shopping data sits inside a large marketing-agent contract. Promptwatch's sits on a self-serve plan with a 7-day free trial.
Who should pick which
- You want product placements, ads, crawler logs and conversions in one tool: Promptwatch Business.
- Your whole problem is product and collection pages, and you want fixes in Shopify: Wildcard. Pair it with Promptwatch if you also need crawler logs.
- You want an action queue and a Shopify publishing route: AthenaHQ.
- You are an enterprise brand selling through Amazon and Walmart as well: Azoma.
- You want agents to do content and technical work and can spend $999 a month: Goodie AI.
- You already run Profound or Scrunch at enterprise level: use their shopping views before adding another tool.
Our recommendation
For most Shopify stores the hardest question is not whether a product appeared, but why it didn't and what that cost. Promptwatch answers both sides on one plan. ChatGPT Shopping tracking shows which products and merchants AI recommends for your prompts, and Ads Radar shows who is paying to appear next to them. Agent Analytics, connected through Cloudflare, shows whether the crawlers ever fetched the product page, and Visitor Analytics shows what the AI traffic that did arrive bought. If you want to see your own products in it first, book a Promptwatch demo and ask for the ChatGPT Shopping view on your catalog.
FAQ
Can a GEO tool see AI crawlers on a Shopify store?
Yes, through your CDN rather than server logs. Promptwatch's integrations page says Shopify sites connect through Cloudflare with a guided setup, and crawler logs start on its Professional plan. Profound lists Cloudflare among its Agent Analytics integrations. Wildcard publishes no crawler logs.
Which tools track ChatGPT Shopping placements?
Promptwatch (Business and Enterprise, including Amazon Alexa product results), Profound (Enterprise), Azoma, and Goodie AI on Pro. Wildcard tracks product rankings in chat answers and in Walmart Sparky and Alexa+ Shopping.
Which tools publish changes to Shopify?
Wildcard publishes to Shopify on its $99 Basic plan. AthenaHQ's FAQ describes publishing through its Shopify integration, and Azoma pushes product data to Shopify among other commerce systems. Promptwatch publishes to WordPress, Webflow and Framer, with Markdown or HTML export for anything else.
How do I measure revenue from AI answers on Shopify?
Use a tool that tags AI referrers and records conversions. Promptwatch Visitor Analytics installs with a script or the GTM template on every plan. Wildcard ties orders to the AI surface with first-click and last-click views. Watch the ChatGPT referrer change from October 8, 2026, and make sure your tool counts utm_source=chatgpt.com visits.
What is the cheapest way to start?
Wildcard Basic at $99 a month is the cheapest plan that includes product tracking. Promptwatch Essential ($95) includes Visitor Analytics but not shopping tracking, which starts on Business, so a store can start by measuring AI-referred orders and move up when product placements become the question.
