Meta AI tracking compared: Promptwatch vs Rankability vs OmniSEO (2026)
Three self-serve tools that track brand visibility in Meta AI with published prices. What each one costs to include Meta AI, what it records, and which one explains why Meta AI did or didn't cite you.
Quick verdict
If you want to know why Meta AI cites some pages and skips yours, Promptwatch is the one to pick. It tracks Meta AI through the real interface from its $95 Essential plan, and from Professional ($245) it logs Meta's own crawlers on your site. Rankability is the better deal if you mostly need volume: 100 tracked queries across 11 platforms, Meta AI included, for $97, plus content and local SEO tools. OmniSEO tracks Meta AI too, but only from $349, and gives you less for that money than the other two.
Why these three
We started from every tool in our catalog that names Meta AI. Most of them only include it on Enterprise, as an add-on, or after a sales call. These three publish a price for a plan that includes Meta AI, so you can compare them without booking demos. Profound, for example, lists Meta AI only on Enterprise, and LLM Pulse sells it as an Enterprise add-on.

What you pay to get Meta AI
On price alone, Promptwatch and Rankability start in the same place. The difference is what the money buys.
Rankability's $97 buys breadth. One tracked query uses one slot across all its selected platforms, checked daily, so 100 queries means 100 questions watched on 11 engines. It also comes with content projects, audits, Google and local rank tracking, and unlimited client workspaces. For an agency that needs Meta AI in a client report, that is a lot for under $100.
Promptwatch's $95 buys depth on fewer prompts. Essential has 50 prompts and 6,000 responses, and you choose models per monitor. Run 50 prompts on four engines daily for 30 days and you've used the 6,000. Add Meta AI as a fifth and you need fewer prompts or a bigger plan. Professional ($245) has 150 prompts and 18,000 responses.
OmniSEO's Essentials plan ($89) covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Meta AI starts on Professional at $349, which also brings all 10 engines, 100 saved prompts and exports. Its competitor tracking stays at five even there.
What each one records
All three record whether you were mentioned. Past that they split.
Promptwatch stores the full answer, every brand named and its position, sentiment, every cited URL and its position, and the query fan-outs behind the answer. Its llms.txt says this is collected from the real interface of each live-search platform, Meta AI among them. That matters for Meta. Meta's help center says that with web search on, Meta AI may turn a prompt into a search query and send it to select search engines, so the answer a WhatsApp user sees can lean on live web pages that a plain model call wouldn't touch.
Rankability checks mentions, citations and sentiment daily on its 11 platforms. OmniSEO reports citations by citing domain and gives placement recommendations by engine, intent and topic cluster. Neither of our listings says how Meta AI responses are collected.
The crawler question
Here is where the comparison stops being close. Meta says its Meta-WebIndexer crawler exists to improve Meta AI search results and that allowing it "helps us cite and link to your content in Meta AI's responses". Meta-ExternalFetcher fetches links at a user's request and, per Meta, may bypass robots.txt.
So a robots.txt check, which is what Rankability's listing describes, tells you what you asked Meta to do. It can't tell you whether Meta-WebIndexer actually reached a page, got a 403 from your firewall, or read it and moved on. Promptwatch's Agent Analytics reads that from your CDN or server logs, filters spoofed bots by checking Meta's IP ranges, and shows a crawl-to-citation path with a citation rate per page. OmniSEO doesn't publish a crawler-log product.
For a Meta AI program, that's the difference between "we're not cited" and "Meta-WebIndexer hasn't fetched the pricing page since August".
Who should pick which
Pick Promptwatch if Meta AI matters enough that someone will ask you why the numbers moved. It suits brands where Meta's apps carry real buying intent (retail, travel, food, beauty, local services) and teams that will act on crawler and citation data. Start on Essential to see Meta AI answers. Move to Professional when you want the Meta crawler logs.
Pick Rankability if you're an agency that wants Meta AI in monthly client reports alongside content, audits and local rankings, and doesn't need server-side evidence. It's the most prompt coverage per dollar of the three.
Pick OmniSEO if you're already working with WebFX and want their tracker, or you specifically want prompt research with estimated query volume next to tracking. On Meta AI alone it's the hardest of the three to justify at $349.
Bottom line
All three will tell you whether Meta AI names your brand. Only Promptwatch shows the step before the answer, Meta's crawlers on your own pages, and the step after it, the AI-referred visits. If you're choosing one tool for Meta AI, trial Promptwatch first and use Rankability as the price benchmark.
